Our ideas about what is right or wrong are based on our idea of what is Good and evil
The good and evil that you see don't even exist in reality, at least not outside of the mind that believes in them. They are only judgments passed by the individual from their own unique perspective. What one person sees as bad or evil may seem to be the only logical thing to do from some other perspective. The ideas of both good and evil are point of view specific. This is why people like bush and bin laden are either loved or hated. Bush was seen as good by people who shared his fear based thought system. Those who have a compassionate concern for all of mankind often saw him as evil.
Bin laden is much the same. He is a villain in much of the western world, but he is somewhat of a celebrated pop star on the Middle East. There are T-shirt shops that sell items with his picture as though he was Jesus. It all depends on your point of view or perspective.
To sum it all up good is the name we give to people who do things that we think we like.
Evil is the name we give to people who do the things that we don鈥檛 like.
This is of course based solely on our particular point of view.

DonTrue or False: There is no such thing as right or wrong.?
False. Ethically there are such things.
Philosophically, you can answer that yourself.
True. Universally after death your little body will be feeding a three and be split into smaller millions of parts that will be mutated into different chemicals that will become part of the ecosystem, and the universe in the long run. Whether you are right or wrong, philosophically.
There is no such thing as true or false either!0!
There's no such thing as one or the other, true or false, right or wrong, why or why not, yes or no, do or don't. You gotta let it all go and make up your mind. It's hard to overcome duality and even harder to understand singularity, but it is not impossible. Give it a try: It is what it is.
A man should look for what is, and not for what he thinks should be...Einstein.
Good luck!
To be honest no I don't think there is. I think most of it comes down to what we are taught based on religion but in and of itself no I don't think so, its all about what works, though I DO think there are CONSEQUENCES for our actions. I think some actions can affect us negatively emotionally, or physically and to me, THOSE are wrong or should be considered wrong, not just actions based on the outdated ten commandments or antiquated rules of Christianity, Islam or Judaism. I also believe that in order to be good you have to be a little bad (I'm not talking about going on murderous rampage). If you're just doing something because you're told to (by Christian society) then you're doing it out of conditioning, brainwashing, its not a choice. I don't know if it means as much to God. That's where I'm at now bc at one point in my life I was a bit of a obedient little bible thumper. Not so anymore!! I educated myself enough to 'know myself' and work on my weaknesses. Phew!!
false. if there is no objective basis for categories of right and wrong, there can be no ultimate basis for meaning or value. if we accept moral relativity, than we must eventually face the idea that whatever the majority of people in a society/group decides is right is right. if true, how can we make value judgments about japanese female foot binding, female circumcision, slavery, etc.... (notice i didn't mention hitler.....whew....even i'm glad).
what about the notion that truth doesn't exist? not that it's relative to any given situation (modernism) but that there is no truth. truth doesn't exist. it's not real (post-modernism). thus, there can be nothing false. words have no meaning. with everything true and nothing true and everything false and nothing false, life cannot have any meaning, purpose, or value other than what we assign it. still, who gets to decide for the rest of us? if we try to explain it in terms of utilitarianism, pragmatism, or even natural selection, we still will not have solved the problem or adequately addressed the implications of the position. if as a pagan, (which i'm not) i say ';hurt no one and do as thou will';, i still will not have satisfied the problem. again, who gets to decide what behaviors are harmful and what are not? you'd think this would be obvious, but it's not. for example, there is a group of pedophiles calling themselves N.A.M.B.L.A. members believe that it is perfectly natural and not harm full at all for adults to have sex with children. in fact, they argue, it is healthy and can be very beneficial to the children. who GTE's to say ';that's wrong,'; or that ';ought not be,'; when there's no rational basis for ';oughtness?';
i do believe in a truth higher than us and outside of us that can be accessed and is knowable because, love me or hate me, i can only conclude that utter nihilism (nothing matters, there is no meaning or purpose---no value) is the only rational alternative.
True, right or wrong is dependent on individual biases. One may believe someone is right the other may believe something is wrong.
Who's to say in me saying so i'm right, I could very well be wrong, but what's wrong is up for interpretation.
I don't know where to stand on this.
Someone could say ';Act normal while we are in this store'; but what if to me normal was walking into walmart naked exept a top hat. I guess Right/wrong is different from person to person.
There is no such thing as right and wrong, there's just popular opinion. Things are as they are. Looking out into it the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations.
Yes there is right and wrong. If there were not right or wrong, then we would not have jails. We would not have any need for any laws that govern.
False, because if someone asked whether my name is Frances; I would say ';no'; or ';wrong';. Facts such as my sex or gender (if I'm not an intersexual), or social security No., could only have one answer.
Depends if you believe in relative or absolute truth. I believe in absolute truth that deep down ever one know right from wrong.
Depends on what you're talking about, like ';The puppy is wagging his tail'; and he is, then that's True and not false. ';Aliens exist'; well some people would say True some False.
answer: false
9x8=5
that is very wrong
1+1=2
that is right
I don't understand why people ask such things. Is it ok then if someone robs you tonight? Or assaults people you care about? Come on.
False we are all born with a sense of right and wrong, good and evil.
You are a soul working in an earthly workshop of opposites Right/Wrong is one of them YES?/NO?
Well, true, because right and wrong are not things.
Depends on who you ask.
