';If you were a clone, you wouldn't have a belly-button'; True or False?

This came up in one of my wife's many facinating comments, today.

I have no idea. Wouldn't the placenta be included in the cloning process? Kinda a package deal right? It would grow alongside in the tube or dish or soup bowl.have to be cut and voila! Belly button. your thoughts please.';If you were a clone, you wouldn't have a belly-button'; True or False?
By current cloning methods, you would have a belly button. Clones (as we know them) are like any other baby. They develop in a womb, have an umbilical cord, and are born through child birth. The only difference is that the genetic material of the original cells are replaced with new genetic material.

So Hollywood's idea of a clone army swooping down and doing nefarious deeds is farfetched. Those clones would still grow at a normal rate, still be mothered, still have nurture play a role in how they grow. It's basically creating a lot of twins.';If you were a clone, you wouldn't have a belly-button'; True or False?
no idea
If it was a frog or a fish clone, it woudn't have a belly button, as there's no placenta involved in the development of an animal like this. However; for any mammals, barring the echidna and the platypus; they would have a beely button, whether they were cloned or not; as they would need an umbulical cord to recieve the nutrients and things they would need to grow; hence, a belly button.

Your wife sounds like an interesting person. Lol, I wonder where she came up with that? But then again, my hubby's always asking where the hell I come up with some of the questions I come up with, so, hey, it works. I hope I've helped!
A clone would have belly button because it would still need to develop in a womb
yes a clone would have a belly button a simpsons clone no, since that is a cartoon and there are about 50 million homers in it
Belly button. The clone would still have to go in the womb. Just like a test tube baby.
A clone is supposed to be IDENTICAL, no?

So yeah, I guess so!
false - a clone is exactly the same, right?
Clone=Replica therefor, ';false'; is my answer.
u watch too much hollywood movies. even cloned cows have to go through the womb grow at the same rate a normal cow would.
