Turn Obama loose on the Fed?

Ha, ha, ha!

Good one!True or False? Explain: The central bank should be under a perfect control of the government.?
Empirical evidence shows that economies with an independent central bank tend to enjoy more rapid and stable growth.

Not that I like True/False for normative questions, but False.True or False? Explain: The central bank should be under a perfect control of the government.?
yes,true
No

the government can then use the CB to push political agenda's instead of doing what is right

eg- say the economy need higher interest rates to control growth. But high interest rates are unpopular. In order to keep votes, it wont be increased, and the economic growth becomes unstable or unsustainable.
